Divesting a floating crane, Mitrabahtera gained USD 4.4 million

JAKARTA – PT Mitrabahtera Segara Sejati Tbk (MBSS) secures USD 4.4 million after divesting its Ben Glory floating crane barge. Emy Oktavia, Corporate Secretary of Mitrabahtera Segara Sejati, announced the news of this transaction in the information disclosure quoted Tuesday (26/7).

“The buyer is PT Pelita Samudera Shipping, a shipping service company, which is not affiliated in any way with the company,” Oktavia revealed.

According to Oktavia, after the conversion to rupiah, the amount of transaction is equal to IDR 66.07 billion, excluding taxes. This transaction was finalised last week (22/7).

In Q1 2022, MBSS reported its fleet consisting of 54 units of barges and 6 units of floating cranes. Compared to 2020, the barges were three units less from 57 units. Furthermore, its total barging loading capacity clocked up to 470,000 tons per trip, while its FC loading reached 182,000 tons per day. (LK/ZH)
