JAKARTA - PT Astra Otoparts Tbk (Astra Otoparts), a subsidiary of PT Astra International Tbk (Astra) which is engaged in vehicle components, introduced Astra Otopower as its newest portfolio. This Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicle (KBLBB) charging network was officially launched by Astra President Director Djony Bunarto Tjondro and Astra Otoparts President Director Hamdhani Dzulkarnaen Salim at Menara Astra, Jakarta today (25/7).
Astra Otopower, which is located in the parking area on the B2 floor of the Astra Tower, is the first KBLBB charging network to be inaugurated. Later, Astra Otopower will be present in several other locations to support the government in preparing the infrastructure for the implementation of the G20 Presidency activities and encouraging the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia.
As the youngest portfolio of Astra Otoparts, Astra Otopower is also part of Astra Otoparts' participation in supporting government programs to reduce motor vehicle exhaust emissions and the energy transition process, especially from fossil fuel vehicles to electric fuel through the KBLBB ecosystem with electric vehicle infrastructure.
The charging machine in the KBLBB Astra Otopower network uses global international communication standards, so that all types of electric vehicles can use this charging machine as long as the connector complies with the regulations in force in Indonesia.
In addition, this charging machine is also equipped with innovative features in the form of a Safety Flooding System which makes the charging machine automatically turn off when submerged in water and the Humidity Control System feature which prevents the charging machine from being excessively humid so that it is in accordance with Indonesian conditions.
Currently, the Astra Otopower KBLBB charging network can be operated using a mobile web browser where the user's charging transaction history will be recorded. In the future, the Astra Otopower operating system will be integrated with www.astraotoshop.com, so that in addition to making it easier for users to operate, customers will also be provided with more complete features.
