JAKARTA – PT Wika Beton Tbk (WTON) increases its ownership percentage in PT Wika Pracetak Gedung (WPG) by acquiring 2% of shares of PT Wika Bangunan Gedung TBk (WEGE). For the record, these companies are both under PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA).
Yuherni Sisdwi Rachmiyati, Corporate Secretary of WTON, confirmed that the company has established itself to be the major shareholder of WPG. “The transaction is carried out after considering how WPG’s business activities, which focus on the production and distribution of precast concrete for buildings and houses, align well with the company’s own activities,” she explained in the information disclosure quoted Wednesday (27/7).
The share acquisition took place earlier this week, on July 25, 2022, involving 10 million shares for IDR 270 per share. Cumulatively, the total acquisition costed the company IDR 2.7 billion.
After this transaction, accordingly, WEGE’s portion in WPG will shrink from 51% to 49%. (LK/ZH)
