Issuing bonds and sukuk, EXCL eyes IDR 3 trillion

JAKARTA – PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL), a telecommunication service provider, will issue shelf-registration bonds and sukuk ijarah worth a total of IDR 3 trillion from August 24 to 25, 2022. Ranty Astari Rachman, Corporate Secretary of XL Axiata, announced the news in the information disclosure quoted today (27/7).

The Shelf-Registration Bonds III Phase I Year 2022 and the Shelf-Registration Sukuk Ijarah III Phase I Year 2022 are worth IDR 1.5 billion and split into four series each. The tenor of series A-D of these bonds and sukuk is set to vary between three to ten years.

The company will utilise the entire proceeds of this bonds and sukuk issuance to fund its capital expenditures. Said expenditures will cover the expansion of service network and the improvement of telecommunication service for its users.

The underwriters assigned for this securities issuance are PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas, PT CIMB Niaga Sekuritas, PT Indo Premier Sekuritas, and PT Mandiri Sekuritas. PT Fitch Rating had also granted an “AAA(idn)” (Triple A) rating for the upcoming issuance plan. (LK/ZH)
