TIRT hopes businesses start to recover as covid-19 eases

JAKARTA - PT Tirta Mahakam Resources Tbk (TIRT), hope that businesses will begin to recover after the Covid-19 pandemic. Referring to the projections made by various institutions on economic growth, the Company hopes that there will be opportunities to re-develop its business in 2022 by focusing on the markets it already has, both domestic and export which include Japan, India, and Taiwan.

“We will take advantage of the superiority possessed by the Company’s products, namely thin Plywood, Polyester Plywood, and Polyester Blockboard products, which have the best quality and have been trusted by Japan, a country that has high quality standards for wood products," said Djohan Surja Putra, President Director of TIRT.

In addition to the superiority of products that have high-quality standards, Tirta Mahakam Resources also has regular buyers with whom the cooperation has been established for quite a long time. Therefore, the Company hopes that there are several opportunities that can be achieved in 2022.

Meanwhile, throughout 2021 the Company still temporarily halted the production process, and relied on the sale of the existing finished goods and semi-finished goods. While monitoring the development of the Covid19 pandemic, the Company also carried out evaluations and efficiency throughout the year.

Meanwhile, at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) held today, July 27, 2022, the shareholders of PT Tirta Mahakam Resources Tbk decided not to distribute dividends, considering that the Company still booked a net loss. (LM)
