JAKARTA – PT Adaro Persada Mandiri (APM) channelled loans worth IDR 45.5 billion to its business group, PT Hutan Amanah Lestari (HAL) in order to fund carbon projects.

In the information disclosure quoted Monday (1/8), said credit will be due in eight years since the first cash withdrawal by HAL, and it is equipped with an interest rate of 9.3% per year. This credit facility was signed last week (27/7).

HAL will utilise said fund for a developmental research regarding the potential of carbon source and trade. Said project will then be developed to include several stages, such as preparation, auxiliary tools procurement, and carbon project commercialisation.

APM’s shares were indirectly controlled by PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO). Meanwhile, HAL is listed as an indirect subsidiary of APM under PT Rehabilitasi Lingkungan Indonesia (RIL) and PT Satu Bumi Amanah (SBA). (LK/ZH)
