Eyeing affiliate’s subsidiaries, MITI to hold a rights issue

JAKARTA – PT Mitra Investindo Tbk (MITI) will conduct a rights issue, offering 2 billion series B shares of IDR 50 each. The proceeds gained from this corporate action will then be used to acquire two subsidiaries of PT Perusahaan Pelayaran Samudra Karana Line (PSKL).

In the information disclosure quoted Wednesday (3/8), it is revealed that MITI’s acquisition agenda involves taking over 64,350 shares or 99% of shares of PT Pelayaran Karana Line (PKL) for IDR 113 billion and 17.5 million shares of PT Karya Abdi Luhur (KAL) worth IDR 65 billion. Therefore, the total transaction clocks up to IDR 178 billion.

PSKL and MITI are indirectly affiliated as they are listed under PT Inti Bina Utama (IBU). Specifically, PT Prime Asia Capital (PAC) still has 69.32% of MITI, while another 22.70% belong to the public.

This rights issue will take effect no later than 12 months after the agreement is reached during the upcoming shareholders meeting on September 9, 2022. (LK/ZH)
