JAKARTA – PT Malaca Trust Wuwungan Insurance Tbk (MTWI) will hold a rights issue of 1.4 billion shares of IDR 100 each. This plan will be further finalised during the upcoming Extraordinary Genera Shareholders Meeting on September 9, 2022.
In the information disclosure quoted Wednesday (3/8), it is mentioned that the proceeds of this corporate action will be added to the working capital, thus enhancing the financial balance by increasing cash and assets. The shareholders who choose not to exercise their portion in this rights issue will have their shares percentage diluted by 47.83% at most.
Until June 2022, MTWI’s shares reportedly reached 1,417,647,510 units. PT Batavia Prosperindo Finance has 15.86% of them, followed by PT Ilthabi Rekatama that claims another 5.22%, PT Batavia Prosperindo International Tbk of 67.12%, and the public of 4.7%. (LK/ZH)
