JAKARTA – PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA) places an investment worth USD 25 million in PT Elang Andalan Nusantara (EAN), the parent company of the owner of DANA, the popular electronic payment application.
Dani Lihardja, Corporate Secretary of Sinar Mas Multiartha, claimed that said equity participation took place a couple of days ago (10/8). “The amount of investment does not go over 20% of the company’s equity,” he said in the information disclosure quoted Friday (12/8).
SMMA’s equity in December 2021 clocked up to IDR 22.78 trillion, while the revenue arrived at IDR 38.53 trillion.
Sinarmas Group shows an ambition to solidify its digital ecosystem by investing in EAN, the managing company of DANA via its subsidiary, PT Espay Debit Indonesia Koe (EDIK).
Prior to this, PT DSSA Dana Gemilang, a subsidiary of PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA), had also finalised its investment worth USD 200 million in EAN. (LK/ZH)
