15 August 2022 06:30

JAKARTA – PT Groot Karya Persada (GKP) has reportedly filed a Suspension of Debt Payment Obligation (lit. Penundaan Kewajiban Pembayaran Utang/PKPU) lawsuit against PT Widodo Makmur Unggas Tbk (WMUU) in Central Jakarta District Court.

“This lawsuit is still in its premature state as the value of outstanding obligation or any responsibility owed by GKP are yet to be determined,” Wahyu Andi Susilo, Director of Widodo Makmur Unggas, explained in the information disclosure quoted Monday (15/8).

According to Susilo, the total material value involved in said lawsuit ranges between 0.5% of total assets and a maximum of 0.8% of the company’s equity.

As of December 2021, WMUU’s assets totalled to IDR 2.31 trillion, while its total equity reached IDR 1.22 trillion. Using these numbers as the reference and multiplying them with percentages mentioned above, the total material value will arrive at approximately IDR 9.7 billion to IDR 11 billion.

“The company is currently discussing with GKP to reach an agreement to terminate its cooperation and the amount of progress that should be compensated,” Susilo further added. (LK/ZH)
