Breaking two-year drought, BLTZ earned IDR 489.3 billion in H1 2022

JAKARTA. The revenue of PT Graha Layar Prima Tbk (BLTZ), the owner of CGV theatres, reportedly hit IDR 489.3 billion in the first half of 2022.

Said amount of BLTZ’s revenue in H1 2022 was, in fact, its highest achievement in the past two years. In 2020, the revenue took a massive downturn to IDR 255.8 billion from IDR 1.4 trillion in 2019. Barely recoverd, the company only managed to score IDR 284.9 billion of revenue in 2021.

BLTZ’s depleted revenue resulted from the closing down of most movie theatres during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite its recovering revenue, BLTZ still suffered from a loss of IDR 19.21 billion in H1 2022. Thankfully, it was still considered an improvement from the number reported in the same period last year. In H1 2021, the company’s loss reached IDR 168.04 billion.

Until June 30, 2022, BLTZ recorded total assets of IDR 2.41 trillion, comprising current assets of IDR 313.8 billion and non-current assets of IDR 2.1 trillion. Lastly, it posted total equity of IDR 512.6 billion. (KR/ZH)
