JAKARTA – In the first half of 2022, PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP) reported a revenue upturn of 16%. Unfortunately, its current year’s profit attributable to the parent company shrank by 40%.
Quoting the press release today (31/8), Anthoni Salim, President Director of Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur, claimed that the company managed to bring home IDR 32.59 trillion of revenue, significantly rising from IDR 28.20 trillion in H1 2021. “The Indonesian economic condition is relatively stable, even though the global economy falters,” he mentioned.
However, on the other side, there are decreases detected in the operating profit and the current year’s profit attributable to the parent company. The first decreased from IDR 6.36 trillion in H1 2021 to IDR 5.88 trillion, while the latter shifted downward from IDR 3.22 trillion to IDR 1.93 trillion. “It was caused by unrealised foreign exchange losses from funding activities,” he added.
Furthermore, its core profit was down 23% from IDR 3.95 trillion in H1 2021 to IDR 3.03 trillion, followed by 18% decline in its operating profit margin. (LK/ZH)
