JAKARTA. PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA), the biggest cellphone retail store in Indonesia, recorded sales growth of 9.3% in the first half of 2022, arriving at IDR 23.4 trillion.
Said growth was supported by the cellphone and tablet sales that peaked at IDR 32.6 trillion, shifting 14.3% upwards from the number reported in the same period last year. Furthermore, accessories sales also drove said sales growth by posting 51.2% year-on-year (yoy) increase.
On the other side, ERAA’s voucher sales was corrected 24% yoy to IDR 1.83 trillion. Likewise, the sales of computer and other electronic devices had 8.1% yoy contraction to IDR 1.35 trillion.
Furthermore, despite the apparent increase of 9.3% yoy in its consolidated sales, the net profit of ERAA in H1 2022 declined 9.1% yoy to IDR 507.52 billion.
The depleted net profit of ERAA was caused by swelling general and administrative expenses of up to 37.8% yoy in H1 2022. In addition to this, other expenses also escalated 183.8% yoy, while financial expenses grew 34.2% and associated companies faced IDR 3.5 billion loss.
Until June 30, 2022, ERAA, recorded total assets of IDR 15.49 trillion, comprising current assets of IDR 10.49 trillion and non-current assets worth IDR 4.99 trillion. Meanwhile, the total equity of the company reached IDR 6.81 trillion. (KR/ZH)
