Efficiency boosted TCPI’s profit 45.50%

JAKARTA – The profit of PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk (TCPI) took a considerable upturn of 45.50% in the first half of 2022 despite the stagnant revenue. This improvement was supported by the proceeds of fixed asset divestment and its success in maintaining asset value.

In the Financial Statement of H1 2022 quoted Wednesday (7/9), Dirc Richard Talumewo, President Director of Transcoal Pacific, mentioned that the company’s revenue reached IDR 1.67 trillion, unchanging from the number in the same period last year.

The revenue was successfully accumulated from the income of the marine transportation segment of IDR 1.66 trillion and other segments of IDR 9.63 billion. The users with over 10% contribution to the total revenue included PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) that brought in IDR 891.87 billion and PT Arutmin Indonesia of IDR 692,53 billion.

TCPI’s gross profit reportedly increased from IDR 308.15 billion in H1 2021 to IDR 322.55 billion. Similarly, the profit before tax also shifted from IDR 57.88 billion to IDR 85.41 billion, while the current year’s profit gained IDR 26.84 billion, rising from IDR 57.73 billion to IDR 84.57 billion.
