JAKARTA - Centerpark Citra Corpora through its subsidiary, Parkee, has taken a corporate action by investing in a local artificial intelligence (AI) developer, Alfabeta. This investment opens up opportunities for collaboration between the two companies in business development, including building an AI-based parking system that will make Indonesia proud and ready to compete in the global arena.

Centerpark Citra Corpora President Director Charles Richard Oentomo and Alfabeta Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Taufiq Wibowo agreed to bring the latest innovations in parking systems in Indonesia. Based on the same vision in developing the parking system ecosystem in the country, both parties between Parkee and Alfabeta agreed to sign the Share Transfer Agreement (PPS).

“We want to create a one stop solution for our clients, such as malls, airports, seaports, so that it includes various identification data, both vehicles and users. This technology will continue to evolve,” Charles said after signing the Agreement.

Alfabeta CEO Taufiq Wibowo explained that the background of this collaboration is because Alfabeta has a number of technologies that are ready to support Parkee. “We see that the technology needs are quite large in the same industry as Parkee, plus we also have many technologies, such as Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), then Vehicle Detection, Counting, & Tracking to Object Detection, Counting, & Tracking. With this investment, we hope that Parkee and Alfabeta can grow again, not only responding to needs at the local level, but also globally," said Taufiq on the same occasion.

Centrepark as a parking operator is already experienced. Recently, the company got the management of the Grand Indonesia parking area, which accommodates more than 10,000 units of vehicle parking lots with more than 70 units of access in and out of the parking lot. Centrepark's experience includes managing various parking areas for skyscrapers and commercial areas, housing to townships in 50 cities in Indonesia ranging from Jakarta, Tangerang, Surabaya, Bandung, Medan, Batam, Semarang, and many more.
