JAKARTA. Until August 2022, PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WTON) managed to obtain new contracts worth IDR 4.19 trillion in total, 28.04% higher than the value recorded in the same period last year worth IDR 3.28 trillion. The infrastructure projects still dominated the contract by 66.49%.
Said new contracts were accompanied by the surge in its financial performance in H1 2022. WTON’s operating revenue clocked up to IDR 1.85 trillion, shifting 47.16% from IDR 1.26 trillion recorded in the same period last year. Its net profit also proliferated massively by 68.59% from IDR 35.76 billion in H1 2021 to IDR 60.29 billion in H1 2022.
During the media gathering earlier today (7/9), Dedi Indra, Corporate Secretary of Wijaya Karya Beton, mentioned that with these satisfactory achievements until last August, the company gains more confidence in being able to attain the financial performance target by the end of this year.
According to Indra, several major projects that contribute to WIKA Beton’s new contracts in H1 2022, apart from the infrastructure sector, included the property sector of 15.6%, the energy sector of 12.58%, as well as other sectors, such as the mining and industrial sector that covered 3.1% of 2.23% of the new contracts.
