BNI secures USD 500 million loans from international banks

JAKARTA. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI), widely known as BNI, reportedly revceived a loan facility worth USD 500 million from several foreign banks.

The facility agreement was signed by representatives of BNI and the creditors on September 19, 2022.

The mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners in this credit facility are Bank of China (Hongkong) Ltd., Citigroup Global Markets Asia Ltd., CTBC Bank Co. Ltd., Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Ltd., dan United Overseas Bank Ltd. “The agency bank for this loan facility is CTBC Bank Co. Ltd.,” Okki Rushartomo, Corporate Secretary of BBNI, further stated.

For the record, the facility obtain by BBNI has a tenor of three years. It is a clean basis loan (unsecured loan), and it will be utilised for paying back its debts, or debt refinancing.

Based on idnfinancials.com data, BBNI recorded total assets of IDR 946.50 trillion in June 30, 2022, and total equity of IDR 130.49 trillion. (KR/ZH)
