Bank Capital aims to secure IDR 3.2 trillion core capital in 2022

JAKARTA – PT Bank Capital Indonesia Tbk (BACA) sets the target of the minimum core capital for this year to reach IDR 3.2 trillion. The extra capital to meet said target will be secured from the proceeds of BACA’s fourth rights issue scheduled from October 26 to November 2, 2022.

Wahyu Dwi Aji, President Director of Bank Capital, confirmed the company’s plan to conduct the rights issue IV to meet the minimum core capital in 2022 as mandated by the Financial Services Authority Regulation (OJK) No.12/2020. “The core captal post-rights-issue will arrive at approximately IDR 3.2 trillion,” he stated in the information disclosure quoted Wednesday (28/9).

Bank Capital aims to raise fresh funds of IDR 1.99 trillion by issuing 19,946,980,337 shares for IDR 100 each. PT Capital Global Investama (CG Investama), the owner of 28.7% of BACA is granted rights over 5,256,353,200 shares in said corporate action. It will then exercise a portion of its rights, of approximately 3 billion shares of IDR 300 billion.

The original investors who choose not to exercise their rights to claim new shares in this corporate action will have their ownership percentage diluted by a maximum of 72.14%. As of now, BACA’s authorised capital clocks up to IDR 2.8 trillion, while its issued and paid-up capital is at IDR 707.80 billion. The current shareholders consist of public investors of 61.82%, KPD Simas Equity Fund 2 of 9.50%, PT Inigo Global Capital of 14.71%, and PT Delta Indo Swakarsa of 13.96%. (LK/ZH)
