Indo Finores DMCC has its claim on 17.53% of BUMI

JAKARTA. The management of Indo Finores DMCC claims its stock portion of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) of 22.57 billion units, equal to 17.53% of the total shares, after converting its bonds and purchasing shares.

Based on the information disclosure released by BUMI yesterday (3/10), Dhrumil Shah, representing Indo Finores DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre), confirmed that those shares were acquired through accumulating BUMI’s shares after converting bonds with various price level and in separate occasions, on February 17, March 28, and September 13, 2022.

Aside from converting bonds, the company also purchased BUMI’s shares gradually from June 23 to September 13, 2022. Although the selling price per share is not publicly disclosed, the total transaction of BUMI’s shares accumulation reportedly reached IDR 1.32 trillion.

Indo Finores claimed that this transaction is for indirect investment purposes on behalf of NBS/UBS Clients. NBS Clients were previously listed as the controlling shareholder of BUMI, owning 9.3% or 13.10 billion shares. (AM/ZH)
