JAKARTA. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has risen the target of the funds collected in the capital market to IDR 182.5 trillion by the end of this year.

Inarno Djajadi, Executive Head of the Capital Market Supervision of OJK, explained that this target is elevated after seeing how the funds raised in the capital market had reached IDR 175.34 trillion on September 30, 2022, following the entry of 48 new issuers. Meanwhile, the pipeline still holds 90 more plans of public offering with a total value of IDR 61.31 trillion.

According to Djajadi, as of now, the raised funds have met the 2022 target. “Therefore, we will increase the target of the fundraising to IDR 182.5 trillion until the end of this year,” he explained during the conference press of RDK of September 2022 yesterday (3/10).

Djajadi further revealed that issuers have shown quite promising development. Out of 722 publicly listed companies that have released its 2022 Mid-Year Financial Statement, 479 issuers or 66.34% of them indicate improvements in their performances. The revenue reportedly grew 22.97% year-on-year (yoy) in average, while the profit soared 74% yoy higher, even though the IDX Composite Index was depleted 1.92% to 7,040.80. “This correction follows the significant correction seen in the global market as well,” Djajadi explained.
