Boosting BACA’s capital, CG Investama to join private placement

JAKARTA – PT Capital Global Investama (CG Investama) will solidify the capital of PT Bank Capital Indonesia Tbk (BACA) via a private placement, offering 19,946,980,337 shares. This plan will be further discussed over during the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting on November 16, 2022.

In the prospectus quoted Tuesday (11/10), CG Investama is listed as the controller of 28.67% of the issued and paid-up capital of BACA of IDR 707.80 billion. Other shareholders include KPD Simas Equity Fund 2 of 9.50% and the public of 61.83%. The authorised capital is IDR 2.8 trillion and the stock in portfolio of IDR 2.07 trillion.

After this corporate action, BACA’s issued and paid-up capital will rise to IDR 2.70 trillion. CG Investama still dominates the shares by 81.32%, followed by public investors of 16.19%, and KPD Simas Equity Fund 2 of 2.49%. The authorised capital will remain unchanged, while the stock in portfolio will be depleted to IDR 97.50 billion.

Obviously, CG Investama is affiliated with BACA. Its shares are split into PT Capital Finance Sharia, which owns 99.999% of the authorised capital of IDR 800 billion. The small remaining 0.001% belongs to PT Baron Mediadana.

Until June 2022, BACA’s total assets clocked up to IDR 20.80 trillion, while its liabilities and equity amounted to IDR 18.79 trillion and IDR 2.01 trillion, respectively. BACA also scored interest revenue of IDR 291.93 billion, but its net interest revenue was down to IDR 233.09 billion due to an increase in interest expenses. Thankfully, the increased operating revenue promoted the total profit to IDR 9.23 billion. (LK/ZH)
