JAKARTA - The property insurance business line is currently one of the mainstay business lines of PT Asuransi Tugu Pratama Indonesia Tbk (Tugu Insurance).
Syaiful Azhar as the Technical Director of Tugu Insurance explained that the premium production of the property business line until the end of June 2022 had reached IDR 1.35 trillion, up 32% compared to the same period in 2021.
"We believe that the economic recovery in Indonesia will have a good impact on projects in the property sector and increase consumer demand for commercial properties and loans," said Azhar. As of the end of June 2022, Tugu Insurance recorded a consolidated gross premium production of IDR 3.53 trillion, up 25% compared to the same period in the previous year.
Based on data from the Indonesian General Insurance Association (AAUI), property insurance premiums reached IDR 14.96 trillion in the second quarter of 2022, up 36.4% compared to the same period last year of IDR 10.97 trillion. (LM)
