IDX: 38 companies in queue for IPO

JAKARTA. Until October 7, 2022, Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) had recorded 38 companies that are set and ready for their initial public offerings (IPO).

Irman Rachman, President Director of IDX, claimed that since the beginning of this year, approximately 44 companies have conducted their respective IPO. Out of all these debuts, the funds raised in those IPO have amounted to IDR 21.8 trillion in total.

The total collected funds until October 7, 2022, indeed, had not yet reached half of the IPO proceeds seen in 2021. In the fiscal year 2021, IDX recorded IPO proceeds of IDR 62.61 trillion. For comparison, in 2020, the IPO proceeds reached IDR 5.58 trillion, while it clocked up to IDR 14.78 trillion in 2019 and IDR 15.7 trillion in 2018.

In terms of the number of issuers, the number of publicly listed companies in IDX has continued to grow in the past five years. In 2017, there were 566 publicly listed companies. Then, almost five years later, in August 2022, there were already 809 issuers listed on IDX. (KR/ZH)
