JAKARTA – PT Jaya Real Property Tbk (JRPT), a construction service provider, successfully repurchased 60,279,600 shares for IDR 473 each from July 13 to October 13, 2022.
Yohanes Henky Wijaya, Vice President Director of Jaya Real Property, confirmed that the realisation of buyback budget amounted to IDR 28.50 billion. Therefore, what is left from the initial allocated budget of IDR 100 billion is now only IDR 71.49 billion.
From the observed trend and record, the collectors of JRPT’s shares in this buyback round showed a wait-and-see attitude towards the current market situation. Even though the offered price was higher, the repurchased shares are less than the numbers reported in 2021 buyback. The last year’s buyback recorded 66,311,700 repurchased shares of IDR 470 each, expending IDR 31.14 billion in total.
After this corporate action commenced on December 20, 2019, JRPT had repurchased 596,001,000 shares for IDR 494 each. Therefore, the buyback had costed JRPT IDR 294.59 billion in exchange for said 596,001,000 shares. (LK/ZH)
