Jasnita to liven up the smart city construction industry

JAKARTA – PT Jasnita Telekomindo Tbk (JAST), a telecommunication device provider, will seek opportunities in smart city development projects. By entering this market, Jasnita will surely liven up the competition in said business segment.

In the information disclosure quoted Monday (17/10), Nathania Olinda, Corporate Secretary of Jasnita Telekomindo, claimed that the company will add its capacity and tools to handle the demands for smart city development. “With existing technical and human resources, the company is optimistic of being able to build 400 points of smart light,” she added.

This business is projected to generate IDR 23.78 billion of sales by 2028. It will be a gradual step-up, starting in 2023 with an estimation of IDR 1.80 billion of revenue from this smart city business line and moving up to IDR 5.40 billion in 2024.

In the present, the company has secured authorisations from the Ministry of Communication and Informatics regarding a call centre, an internet telephony service, a packet-switch local fixed network, and a data communication system service.

For the record, the original competitors that await Jasnita in the market include PT DCI Indonesia, PT Infomedia Nusantara, PT Softindo Computech, PT Lintasarta, PT MNC Land Tbk (KPIG), and PT Elnusa Tbk (ELSA). (LK/ZH)
