Q3 ended, Wismilak saw 55.60% profit growth

JAKARTA – The profit of PT Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk (WIIM), a tobacco manufacturer, reportedly grew 55.60% year-on-year (yoy) in the third quarter of 2022. It resulted from the increases in its revenue and gains of fixed assets divestment.

In the Financial Statement of Q3 2022 published today (20/10), Krisna Tanimihardja, President Director of Wismilak, also claimed that the current year’s profit had ncreased from IDR 108.93 billion in Q3 2021 to IDR 169.51 billion in Q3 2022.

Furthermore, the revenue rose 38.85% yoy from IDR 1.90 trillion to IDR 2.64 trillion, as did its gross profit from IDR 464.77 billion to IDR 553.36 billion.

The highest contributor to the sales came from the domestic market, generating IDR 2.62 trillion, while the export market brought in IDR 18.66 billion. The machine-rolled kretek cigarettes (SKM) contributed IDR 2.10 trillion of sales, followed by hand-rolled kretek cigarettes (SKT) of IDR 302.14 billion, cigars of IDR 2.04 billion and other products of IDR 224.17 billion.

In the same period in 2021, the domestic market sales clocked up to IDR 1.85 trillion, while export sales reached IDR 35.59 billion. SKM products sales in the domestic market turned in IDR 1.39 trillion of revenue, followed by SKT of IDR 326.41 billion, cigars of IDR 916.14 million, and other products of IDR 145.53 billion.

Other revenue slid off from IDR 13.77 trillion to IDR 13.36 trillion, countered by the gains in the fixed assets divestment that shifted from IDR 1.49 billion to IDR 1.99 billion. (LK/ZH)
