JAKARTA – The profit of PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk (DSNG) proliferated 112% to IDR 898 billion in the third quarter of 2022, driven by increases in the price and the sales volume of crude palm oil (CPO).

Adrianto Oetomo, President Director of Dharma Satya Nusantara, claimed that the sales clocked up to IDR 6.6 trillion. It was accumulated from the CPO sales of IDR 5.4 trillion and the sales of timber products. “In Q3 2022, CPO selling price was reportedly 28% higher, reaching IDR 11 million per ton. The sales volume of CPO also climbed 3% compared to Q1 and Q2 that declined 24% instead,” he explained in a press release quoted Wednesday (26/10).

According to Oetomo, the production level of fresh fruit bunches in the company’s plantation in East Kalimantan slowly regained its strength following the end of the 24-months phase after El Nino. The production level was seen growing 26% from Q2 2022 and 6% from Q3 2021.

On top of those, the improved oil extraction rate (OER) by 23% in Q3 2022 also boosted CPO production level by 5% from 421 thousand tons to 441 thousand tons. (LK/ZH)
