Mitratel to convert 44.8 million shares in MESOP

JAKARTA – PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL), also known as Mitratel, will convert 44.8 million shares via the Management and Employee Stock Option Plan (MESOP).

Hendra Purnama, Director of Investment of Mitratel, revealed that the MESOP will last for a month, starting November 1, 2022, until December 12, 2022. “The options that have not been converted in this upcoming round may be carried to the next period,” he explained in the disclosure page quoted Wednesday (26/10).

The price exercised in this private placement is set to IDR 720 per share. Thus, once accumulated, the conversion of shares in this MESOP will reach IDR 32.25 billion in value.

Until September 2022, MTEL listed 29,918 shareholders, which were 2,505 less than 32,423 shareholders in August 2022. The only member of the Board of Commissioners who has purchased MTEL’s shares is Herlan Wijanarko, owning 1,309,400 shares.

The number of shares of MTEL now arrives at 83,515,452,844 units. The Singaporean government owns 5.743% of them, followed by PT Telkom Indonesia that controls 71.869%. PT Maleo Investasi claims another 5.979%, while public investors share 16.409% of them. Lastly, the treasury stock is nearly 0%, containing 885.2 million shares. (LK/ZH)
