JAKARTA – PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) scored a net profit of IDR 15.98 trillion in the third quarter of 2022, an expected result once seeing the increase in its revenue.
In the Financial Report of Q3 2022 quoted Monday (31/10), Darmawan Prasodjo, President Director of PLN, further confirmed that its net profit grew IDR 3.53 trillion higher from IDR 12.45 trillion reported in the same period in 2021.
This increase was propelled by its revenue that shifted from IDR 269.87 trillion to IDR 325.12 trillion (year-on-year/yoy). The electric power sales still dominated the contribution to the revenue with IDR 231.04 trillion. On the other hand, users’ installation services only brought in IDR 606.93 billion. The revenue from compensation reached IDR 46.36 trillion, followed by government-subsidised electricity of IDR 42.13 trillion and other means of income of IDR 4.96 trillion.
The operating profit shifted from IDR 32.50 trillion to IDR 48.16 trillion (year-on-year/yoy), following the decreased rental expenses to IDR 2.37 trillion, maintenance expenses to IDR 15.75 trillion, and employment expenses of IDR 17.98 trillion. For comparison, in Q3 2021, these expenses, in the same order, clocked up to IDR 3.28 trillion, IDR 17.07 trillion, and IDR 18.78 trillion. (LK/ZH)
