JAKARTA. PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk (RALS), a retail and department store owner, collected a net profit of IDR 289.12 billion throughout January-September (9M) 2022.

RALS’s net profit in 9M 2022 reportedly proliferated 190% from the numbers recorded in the same period last year. In 9M 2021, the company only posted IDR 103.88 billion of net profit.

This massive net profit surge of RALS in 9M 2022 relied on its revenue performance, which shifted 21.4% year-on-year (yoy) higher to IDR 2.4 trillion at the end of September 2022.

Based on idnfinancials.com report, RALS was seen quite vigorous on applying efficiency strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic era. From 2020 until the first half of 2022, the company had closed down operational activities of 20 stores, two of which have been reopened as of present.

RALS initially aims to record sales growth of 20% this year. Then, in order to realise this target, the company intends to introduce three new outlets, as well as reviving several closed stores.

Furthermore, RALS has already prepared IDR 300 billion for its capital expenditure. By the time that the first half of 2022 was concluded, the company had spent 49.33% of the allocated capital expenditure budget. (KR/ZH)
