Volta and ITDC to supply electric motorcycles in Bali

JAKARTA. Volta, a subsidiary of PT NFC Indonesia Tbk (NFCX) that focuses on electric vehicle (EV) business, has recently entered an agreement with Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) to provide electric motorcycle rental service in Bali.

This collaboration also includes services across The Nusa Dua Bali, an integrated tourism zone managed by ITDC itself. In this contract, ITDC agrees to provide the land, while Volta will supply fleets of electric motorcycles.

In its official disclosure, Volta mentioned to have prepared motorcycles that have been equipped with an integrated Internet-of-Things (IoT) technology. With this level of technology, the users will have easy and swift access to Volta’s services.

Iwan Suryaputra, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Volta, claimed that this partnership is a form of support to the transition to sustainable energy, which is the current prioritised issue in G20. “In which we believe that this sustainable energy transition should be affordable and accessible to all individuals,” he added.

For the record, this cooperation is the initial step taken by Volta to promote the 2022 G20 Bali Summit. Volta will continue to participate in series of activities included in the G20 Summit, for instance, the electric vehicle exhibition that has been scheduled to take place from November 11 to 16, 2022.
