JAKARTA. The stock ownership of PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk (DOID) in the Australian-based mining company, Asiamet Resources Limited, has increased USD 3 million higher, bringing the total percentage to 24.2%. DOID’s recent additional equity participation in Asiamet Resources pertains to their cooperation in taking on the Beruang Kanan Main (BKM) copper mine.

Darryn McClelland, CEO of Asiamet Resources, claimed that the funds from this investment will be utilised to finalise the feasibility study of BKM copper mining project, provide financing for future projects and the development of BKM, and fund the working capital. “With this capital investment, DOID’s portion in Asiamet rises from 15.3% to 24.2%,” McClelland confirmed in the official disclosure earlier today (9/11).

With this level of ownership, DOID is now allowed to nominate two directors for Asiamet, as long as its portion remains stable at over 19.9% of Asiamet Resources’ total paid-up capital. However, should its portion shrink to below 19.9%, DOID may only submit one name to the possible list of directors of the company.

President Director of DOID, Ronald Sutardja, claimed that with this partnership, DOID is confident that it will secure promising projects in the future and will become one of the most sought-after copper suppliers amidst this era of energy transition to net zero emission. (AM/ZH)
