JAKARTA – The revenue of PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) in Q3 2022 reportedly reached IDR 34.94 trillion, 78.39% of which was dominated by smartphone and tablet sales. In the same period in 2021, they even hit 79.44% of total revenue.
According to the Financial Report of Q3 2022 quoted Tuesday (15/11), Hasan Aula, Vice President Director of Erajaya, mentioned that the revenue grew 12.05% in Q3 2022 from IDR 31.18 trillion in Q3 2021. Similarly, its gross profit also climbed from IDR 3.02 trillion to IDR 3.55 trillion (year-on-year/yoy).
Despite its increasing revenue, its current year’s profit shrank from IDR 799.29 billion to IDR 677.11 billion (yoy). This downturn resulted from the increased sales and distribution expenses, as well as other expenses. Furthermore, there was also a combined effect of the decreased financial revenue and the increased loss of associates, which brought the profit before income tax down from IDR 1.04 trillion to IDR 965.55 billion (yoy).
The contribution of smartphone and tablet sales to the total revenue in Q3 2022 reached IDR 27.39 trillion, followed by accessories and others sales of IDR 3.96 trillion, vouchers sales of IDR 2.06 trillion, as well as computer and other electronic devices sales of IDR 1.52 trillion.
Sales in the central region, including Greater Jakarta, Kalimantan, Singapore, and Malaysia, reached IDR 22.13 trillion, followed by the sales in the western region (Sumatra and Java) of IDR 9.80 trillion and in the eastern region (the remaining areas) of IDR 3 trillion.
For comparison, in the same period in 2021, smartphone and tablet sales clocked up to IDR 24.77 trillion. Then, vouchers sales generated IDR 267 trillion, followed by sales of accessories and others of IDR 2.33 trillion, as well as sales of computers and other electronic devices of IDR 1.39 trillion.
Similarly, central region sales dominated in Q3 2021 with IDR 17.16 trillion of sales, followed by the western region of IDR 11.48 trillion and the eastern region of IDR 2.53 trillion. (LK/ZH)
