JAKARTA - On Thursday, November 17, the net foreign trade volume in November finally fell below zero. The net trading volume of foreign investors decreased by roughly half a billion shares as a result of vastly greater sales than purchases.

Two issuers even reached a net volume of more than minus 100 million shares: PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) and PT Panin Financial Tbk (PNLF). Foreigners sold almost 140 million shares of GOTO, while 115 million shares were sold in PNLF.

PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) foreign sales also reached 100 million shares, but the hefty volume of foreign purchases made the net higher than the previous two issuers, at -50 million. The shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) and PT Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (MPPA) are also still on the most-sold list, with sales of 77 million BIPI shares and 64 million MPPA shares, respectively.

On the foreign investment side, the highest foreign purchase is in PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), with 190 million shares and a net volume of 97 million. This figure was followed by PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), whose 138 million shares were purchased by foreigners, with a net of 87 million.

Furthermore, foreign investors also bought at least 27 million shares of retail issuer PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) and 21 million shares of banking issuer PT Bank Neo Commerce (BBYB). With the sale of 19 million "BELI" shares, PT Global Digital Niaga Tbk, popularly known as Blibli, is still being sought after by international investors. (KD)
