Wismilak’s sales increased 37.6%

JAKARTA. The cigarette sales of PT Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk (WIIM) increase 37.6% year-on-year (yoy) to IDR 2.98 trillion within the first ten months of 2022. This growth resulted from a significant increase in the sales of machine-rolled kretek cigarettes (SKM) of 47.1% yoy.

Based on its official announcement issued yesterday (20/11), Wismilak is said to score consolidated revenue of IDR 2.98 trillion at the end of October 2022, shifting 37.6% higher from IDR 2.16 trillion seen in the same period last year. The sales of Wismilak’s machine-rolled kretek cigarettes (SKM) reportedly soared 47.1% from the numbers seen in the same period in 2021. In the end, WIIM managed to collect a net profit of IDR 199.3 billion, taking a 64.5% (yoy) upturn.

WIIM had also optimised several opportunities throughout this year, including participating in the export market through Wismilak Filter, its latest business line in the filter rod production and distribution sector, which had been presented in World Tobacco Asia (WTA) last September. The management further mentioned how the domestic market also showed great excitement over this special filter product of Wismilak through the increasing demand.

As of now, Wismilak also oversees a sustainability program for entrepreneurs in Indonesia called Diplomat Success Challenge (DSC) that has managed to attract 23,657 local entrepreneurs to enter its competition. (AM/ZH)
