Bundamedik’s profit slipped off 61.75%

JAKARTA – The profit of PT Bundamedik Tbk (BMHS), the owner of Bunda Hospital network, shrank 61.75% in the third quarter of the year. It resulted from the declined revenue and zero contribution from its associates, whereas last year, its associated companies managed to bring in IDR 25.07 billion of revenue.

Quoting the financial report of BMHS today (23/11) Mesha Rizal Sini, President Director of Bundamedik, claimed that the company recorded the current year’s profit of IDR 108.25 billion in Q3 2022, dropping from IDR 283.05 billion in the same period in 2021.

The gross profit was also depleted 11.21% year-on-year (yoy) from IDR 648.96 billion to IDR 576.18 billion. This downturn resulted from the cost of revenue that swelled from 50.90% to 53.13%, whereas the revenue was contracted 7.11% yoy from IDR 1.33 trillion to IDR 1.22 trillion.

In Q3 2022, inpatient care brought in revenue of IDR 472.58 billion, entailed by outpatient care that generated IDR 379.77 billion, in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) of IDR 420.46 billion, and hotel of IDR 4.90 billion. For comparison, in the same period last year, inpatient care contributed IDR 586.47 billion, followed by outpatient care of IDR 386.56 billion, IVF of IDR 371.11 billion, and hotel of IDR 3.55 billion.
