Gov’t to auction off sukuk of IDR 5 trillion next week

JAKARTA. The Indonesian government will arrange another auction of Government Sharia Securities (lit. Surat Berharga Syariah Negara/SBSN) or State Sukuk with an indicative target of IDR 5 trillion next week, on November 29, 2022.

There will be six series of state sukuk that will be offered in said auction. They consist of one series of Government Sharia Treasury Notes (lit. Surat Perbendaharaan Negara Syariah/SPN-S), and five series of Project-Based Sukuk (PBS).

The yield offered alongside the SPN-S is a discount rate, whereas PBS series will be equipped with a profit-sharing ratio of 5.38% to 6.75%.

The auction will be carried out as an open auction and use multiple price scheme. Investors may submit their bids in the auction through primary dealers authorised by the Ministry of Finance.

For the record, the Directorate-General of Budget Financing and Risk Management of the Ministry of Finance had also launched another auction of Government Bonds (lit. Surat Utang Negara/SUN) on November 22, 2022. In said round of auction, the incoming bids reportedly reached IDR 30.32 billion. (KR/ZH)
