Samudra Indonesia’s subsidiary takes over 20% of Kalbe’s branch
JAKARTA. PT Samudera Sarana Logistik (SSLog), a subsidiary of PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk (SMDR), has initiated an investment collaboration with PT Mostrans Global Digilog (Mostrans), a second-tier subsidiary of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KLBF) that focuses in the logistic sector. In this collaboration, SSLog acquires 20% of Mostrans’s shares that used to belong to PT Enseval Putra Megatrading Tbk (EPMT).
Jos Iwan Atmadjaja, President Director of Enseval, claimed that this investment agreement had been officially signed on November 17, 2022. “The strategic collaboration between Kalbe and Samudera Indonesia through Mostrans is expected to expedite the digital transformation acceleration in the logistic sector in an integrated fashion,” he explained in the press release on Thursday (24/11).
Meanwhile, Ridwan Hamid, Financial Director of SMDR, expressed his wish for this agreement to be able to connect the whole supply chain ecosystem of healthcare products and provide beneficial added value to shareholders and users of Mostrans and SSLog. SSLog is one of many subholdings of Samudera Indonesia that oversees several other subsidiaries in the warehouse, transportation and logistic sectors.
On the other side of the collaboration, Berty Argiyantari, CEO of Mostrans, admitted that amid this digitalisation era, Mostrans must be agile and adaptive in orde to stay relevant with the current trend, and will continue to develop digital-based innovations. “This strategy, besides establishing connectivity and end-to-end integration of logistic ecosystem, also provides a more comprehensive solution for service users,” she said.
