JAKARTA. PT Mandom Indonesia Tbk (TCID) managed to present a positive performance in the third quarter of 2022, scoring a net profit of IDR 25.62 billion, after losing IDR 45.57 billion in the same period in 2021.
Based on the financial report of TCID published earlier this week in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), this consumer goods manufacturer reported a 17.5% year-on-year (yoy) increase in its net sales to IDR 1.55 trillion. The domestic sales dominated the total sales with IDR 1 trillion, while the export market generated IDR 550.37 billion. Until now, the company has exported its products to several countries, including Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan.
As the sales increase, the production cost also swelled. Thus, its cost of goods sold increased 13.38% yoy from IDR 1.09 trillion to IDR 1.23 trillion in Q3 2022.
Once the cost of goods sold and several other expenses were taken out, the company was left with a net profit of IDR 25.62 billion. This achievement was in total contrast with the loss seen in the third quarter of 2021 of IDR 45.57 billion. (AM/ZH)
