Wow! Foreign investors purchase billions of BUMI, BUKA, and BIPI shares

JAKARTA - The stock market was flooded with fantastic foreign transactions by the end of November. On Wednesday (30/11), three issuers, namely BUMI, BUKA, and BIPI, marketed more than 1 billion shares to foreign investors. PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) shares were the best-selling in foreign trading, with 1.78 billion shares purchased, followed by PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) with 1.37 billion and PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) with 1.2 billion.

Furthermore, foreigners continue to be interested in PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) shares, which were purchased in quantities of 543.5 million and 278.7 million shares, respectively. These sales brought the total foreign purchases to 8.95 billion shares, bringing the total net foreign volume in November to 1.85 billion shares.

Nonetheless, foreign sales were also quite significant, totaling 7.62 billion shares. What the overseas investors sold the most were ADMR shares from PT Adaro Minerals Indonesia Tbk, as many as 797.6 million shares with a net volume of minus 459 million. Foreign investors also sold 533.6 million shares of PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) and 220 million shares of PT MNC Vision Networks Tbk (IPTV). The sale of 94.4 million shares of PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) and 28.6 million shares of PT Timah Tbk (TINS) then completed the foreign divestment list (TINS). (KD)
