BUMI to realise CSR through education and financial aid

05 December 2022 11:12

JAKARTA – PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) establishes an early childhood education facility called Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) Al Iklas in Cikeas Udik and channels a working capital of IDR 300 million as a financial support to 150 people with disabilities in Bogor, West Java. These social and financial aids are a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) agenda, which has been carried out through United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) Indonesia.

Adika Nuraga Bakrie, President Director of BUMI, claimed that the formation of said education facility reflects the company’s commitment in fulfilling its social development goals (SDGs). “All those education facilities that are established by BUMI have been handed over and will be evaluated using a maintenance rating system (MRS) approach,” he explained in the press release quoted Monday (5/12).

The annual evaluation will observe infrastructure maintenance, community involvement, and school management.

The construction of PAUD Al-Iklas has been started since August 25, 2022. It will have two classrooms, in which includes furniture, playground facilities, educative toys, and toilets to promote learning processes. (LK/ZH)
