JAKARTA – PT Wintermar Offshore Marine Tbk (WINS) accelerates the final payment of a loan facility from International Finance Corporation (IFC) worth USD 45 million.

Sugiman Layanto, Managing Director of WINS, mentioned that said loan facility is due December 2025. “The loan facility from IFC has allowed Wintermar to purchase 8 units of Offshore Support Vessels (OSV),” he stated earlier today (6/12) in Jakarta.

According to Layanto, the loan facility from IFC has successfully driven WINS to be an internationally-acknowledged vessel operator within the global offshore industry. Said facility was obtained in December 2011, whose maturity date is extended to 2025.

Azam Khan, Country Manager of IFC for Indonesia and Timor Leste, mentioned that said facility is a proof of IFC’s commitment in providing aids for local partnerts amidst these trying times. “This sort of partnership could hopefully continue to take place and support our initiative in developing offshore wind for alternative energy, as well as other new and renewable energy resources,” he stated.

As of June 2022, WINS reportedly managed 42 vessels, including 7 high-tier PSVs. (LK/ZH)
