Foreign investors sold a large number of BUMI and TLKM shares

JAKARTA - The foreign net volume was still negative on Tuesday, December 6, though not as much as the previous day. Total foreign purchases were approximately 1.53 billion shares, while total sales were approximately 2.34 billion. The net foreign currency resulted in a deficit of 812.27 million shares. This time, the two issuers that were let go the most by foreign shareholders were BUMI and TLKM. PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) shares were sold in quantities of 257.03 million, resulting in a net volume of minus 140.46 million, while PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) shares were sold in quantities of 245.86 million, resulting in a net volume of negative 75.63 million shares.

Foreign investors also sold significant amounts of other stocks. Outside shareholders sold at least 127.03 million shares of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), resulting in a net volume of 87.47 million. Furthermore, 137.94 million PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) and 103.38 million PT Wulandari Bangun Laksana Tbk (BSBK) shares also left foreign ownership. They both had net volumes in the range of minus 60 million shares.

Foreign purchases, on the other hand, do not appear to be particularly notable. This time, PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (ENRG) contributed the most shares with 25.74 million, after 40.85 million were purchased with foreign funds. Foreign shareholders also purchased 36.97 million shares of PT Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (MPPA), resulting in a net volume of 23.59 million.

Foreign investors further bought 27.29 million shares of PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA), 28.90 million shares of PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (EMTK), and 17.69 million shares of PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL). All three had a net volume of 11–13 million shares. (KD)
