JAKARTA - On Thursday, December 8, timbre tycoon Prajogo Pangestu acquired 41,644,045,300 shares of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT). This Barito Pacific Group's founder now owns 66.42 billion shares of BRPT, giving him control of 70.85% of this forestry and renewable energy holding company.
Furthermore, PT Gratamulia Pratama, the controller of PT Victoria Investama Tbk (VICO), increased its stake in this brokerage and underwriting services provider. Gratamulia Pratama now owns 52% of VICO after purchasing at least 2.07 billion shares. Instead, PT Unggul Indah Cahaya Tbk (UNIC) gained a new investor. PT Lautan Luas Tbk recently purchased 22.85 million shares of this alkylbenzene chemical manufacturing company, gaining nearly 6% ownership. Furthermore, PT Asuransi Jiwa Generali purchased 11.36 million shares to increase its stake in PT Mahaka Radio Integra Tbk (MARI).
Despite having a lower volume than investments, the divestment market appears to be more crowded. Eddy Kusnadi Sariaatmadja started this list by selling 612.41 million shares of PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (EMTK). The entrepreneur, who is also one of Emtek's founders, reduced his ownership by 1% to 21.94%.
Following that, PT Gozco Capital released 225.19 million shares of PT Bank Neo Commerce Tbk (BBYB). Tumiyana also sold 90.09 million shares of PT Widodo Makmur Perkasa Tbk (WMPP), and GOTO Peopleverse Fund is still redistributing 87.89 million shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO). Finally, investor Major Intelligence Limited sold 30.3 million shares of PT Perdana Gapura Prima Tbk (GPRA), and PT Sinar Mas Cakrawala, as the majority shareholder, released 7.28 million shares of PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA).
