Astra car sales shifted 18.5% higher in November 2022

JAKARTA. Until November (11M) 2022, the car sales of PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) reportedly reached 519,085 units, 18.5% higher year-on-year (yoy) or compared to the same period last year.

“Astra wishes this positive performance will be carried through until the end of 2022,” Soebroto said to idnfinancials.com.

Since the beginning of the year until November 2022, ASII’s car sales was supported by Toyota + Lexus cars, which recorded 304,223 units being sold. Then, Daihatsu cars followed behind, selling off 178,850 units, while Isuzu sold off 33,741 units, UD Trucks 1,838 units, and Peugeot 433 units.

In the national scale, car sales reached 942,492 units in 11M 2022, 19.2% year-on-year (yoy) higher. Throughout January-November 2022, ASII dominated 55% of the domestic market share of car sales.

Then, based on car types, 124,605 units of sold cars are low-cost green cars (LCGC). It covers 75% of national market share of LCGC sales in 11M 2022.

Based on IDNFinancials data, ASII recorded revenue of IDR 221.35 trillion at the end of September 2022 (9M 2022). Then, with this amount of revenue, the company managed to squeeze out net profit of IDR 23.33 billion. (KR/ZH)
