JAKARTA. PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) has granted a shareholder loan to PT Jasamarga Balikpapan-Samarinda (JBS), a subsidiary in control of the Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road project.
The total value of loan channelled by JSMR to JBS is IDR 293.84 billion. In the official disclosure, the management of JSMR claimed that this loan is intended to aid JBS in its operational activities.
“Said transaction is carried out as a cash deficiency support for JBS in 2022, as well as to cover other operational needs,” the management of JSMR continues.
As of now, 67.39% of JBS’s shares are under the control of JSMR. Then, another 18.29% belongs to PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA), leaving 13.75% to PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk (PTPP). Lastly, the small remaining 0.56% is owned by PT Bangun Tjipta Sarana.
For the record, JBS had completed the construction of Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road in August 2021. It is said to reduce the time spent travelling from Balikpapan to Samarinda from the previous 3-4 hours to 1.5-2 hours). (KR/ZH)
