WSKT’s new contracts hit IDR 13.7 trillion mark in November 2022

JAKARTA. Until November 2022, PT Waskita Karya Tbk (Persero) Tbk (WSKT), a state-owned building construction company, had recorded new contracts worth IDR 13.7 trillion.

Novianto Ari Nugroho, SVP Corporate Secretary of WSKT, claims that until November 2022, its new contracts were dominated by projects from the Capital City of Nusantara (IKN). They include the Presidential Secretariat building in IKN, several supporting buildings, and IKN’s work road construction.

“The company also secured the modernisation project of irrigation system worth IDR 270 billion last November,” Nugroho added, as quoted in Investor.id.

Nugroho also revealed that WSKT still awaits the result of several project tenders in which the company has participated, both domestically and globally.

The composition of new contracts obtained by WSKT until November 2022 mostly consists of government’s projects (68.10%). Then, private sector follows with 10.18% of total projects, entailed by projects commissioned by state-owned and regionally-owned enterprises (BUMN and BUMD) of 9.34%, and subsidiaries of 12.38%.

Based on the type of projects, 48.78% of total new contracts are infrastructure connectivity projects, while buildings take up another 20.02%, followed by EPC of 10.91% and water resources of 7.89%. (KR/ZH)
