JAKARTA – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) managed to channel IDR 990.95 trillion of credits throughout 2022. It was 8.94% higher than IDR 909.58 trillion seen in the same period last year.

Based on its Financial Report in December 2022 quoted Thursday (9/2), Sunarno, President Director of Bank Rakyat Indonesia, revealed that the distributed credit in rupiah for third parties consisted of IDR 502.96 trillion for the micro sector, IDR 397.58 trillion for the retail sector, and IDR 33.59 trillion for the corporate sector. Meanwhile, the credits for users in foreign currencies comprised IDR 78.27 trillion for corporates and IDR 3.09 trillion for retail.

On the other hand, the third-party funds from users of BRI clocked up to IDR 1.30 quadrillion, growing from IDR 1.13 quadrillion seen in 2021. Savings dominated with IDR 522.64 trillion, followed by term deposits of IDR 435.48 trillion and current accounts of IDR 349.75 trillion.

BRI’s interest and sharia income arrived at IDR 151.87 trillion, shifting 5.81% from IDR 143.52 trillion recorded in the same period in 2021. Its net profit also proliferated 67.15% year-on-year (yoy) from IDR 30.75 trillion to IDR 51.40 trillion. (LK/ZH)
