JAKARTA. PT Surya Esa Perkasa Tbk (ESSA), a liquified petroleum gas (LPG) and ammonia manufacturer, plans to distribute dividend of IDR 775.2 billion, the highest yet in its history.

Vinod Laroya, President Director of ESSA, claimed that the allocation of said dividend was based on the 2022 revenue that amounted to USD 731 million. It soared 141% year-on-year (yoy).

“We are beyond glad to be able to distribute profits that we had secured throughout 2022 to our shareholders through this exciting news of dividend distribution plan.” Laroya said in the official release.

The decision had been approved during the Annual General Shareholders Meeting of ESSA that were held last week. The total cash dividend that will be distributed is equal to 36.3% of total net profit in 2022.

According to Shinta D. U. Siringoringo, the cash dividend will be given to ESSA’s shareholders whose names have been registered in the official shareholders list by March 29, 2023. Each share is exchangeable with IDR 45 of cash dividend. The disbursement will take place on April 5, 2023.

Based on IDNFinancials data, as of now, 23.10% of ESSA’s shares are controlled by PT Trinugraha Akraya Sejahtera. Then, Chander Vinod Laroya is listed as the owner of 13.02% of the shares, followed by Arif Rachmat of 0.01% and public investors of 63.87%. (KR/ZH)
