JAKARTA - Foreign investors sold 112.66 million shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), a state-owned bank, on Tuesday, July 16, for a net volume of -52.01 million shares. This share sales contributed to the foreign sales volume of 1.43 billion shares. Foreign investors also purchased shares, totaling approximately 1.32 billion shares. As a result, foreign net volume ended at -103.27 million shares.

The second share sold belonged to PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) in the banking sector, amounting to 49.01 million shares, and the net volume was -44 million shares. In the automotive industry, 50.87 million shares of PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) were sold, for a net volume of -34.97 million shares. Shares of PT High Eagle Plantations Tbk (BWPT), which operates in the oil palm plantation sector, were sold for 31.21 million shares without any purchases, resulting in a net volume of -31.21 million shares. The last stock on the top-selling list was PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN), a telecommunication company, which were sold for 30.14 million shares with a net volume of -30.08 million shares.

Meanwhile, the top buy list began with 91.71 million shares of PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) in the domestic and foreign shipping services field sold for a net volume of 86.02 million shares. Foreign investors also purchased 92.89 million shares of the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), resulting in a net volume of 82.38 million shares. Furthermore, PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) had both buying volume and net volume in the same number of 56.09 million shares due to no foreign investors selling any of its shares. PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) shares were then purchased for 26.03 million shares, resulting in a net volume of 24.89 million shares. Foreign investors then completed the share purchase transaction by purchasing 29.29 million shares of natural gas trading business PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS), for a net volume of 18.01 million shares.
